Provides social work case management to youth and adults in home and community-based settings according to County, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and procedures. Provides information, awareness, marketing, and educational programs for caregivers and community.
The Prevention team provides programs that prevent negative outcomes including adolescent substance use, depression, family conflict, and delinquency and increase protective factors such as coping skills, family attachment, and positive body image.
This position is on the Youth Services Prevention team and teaches evidence-based prevention programs to youth and families in a group setting. Leads and facilitates psychoeducational groups and orient youth and families to agency policies, programs, and expectations. Prepares curriculum and all needed supplies. Provides education to youth and families through interactive and engaging curriculum.
This position collaborates with agency staff and community partners to support recruitment and outreach efforts for prevention programs, including, but not limited to, public speaking, community events, marketing campaigns, website copy, and social media content.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or other closely related field, OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must successfully pass an initial criminal background check as well as every one year (1) thereafter by the Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI).
Must receive a verified negative test result on a mandatory drug test before starting in this position. Will be subject to random alcohol and drug testing. May be subject to post accident and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.

Works with youth and deals with certain working conditions that may cause exposure to biohazards such as human waste and vomit. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
