Salary Range: $22.00 - $25.00 Hourly
Travel Percentage: NegligibleJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide all aspects of Housing Case Management for a case load in accordance with VOA policies and HUD and community standards.
• Develop an individualized service plan for new participants.
• Assist in managing referrals and a waitlist.
• Provide oversight of housing operations, including lease-up, resident notices and terminations, in compliance with VOA policies and relevant laws and regulations.
• Provide task supervision for Resident Assistants.
• Responsible for ensuring participants obtain, maintain or increase income.
• Provide on-going and relevant pro-social supports and life skills training.
• Use evidence-based programming to help participants address challenges to stability.
• Evaluate program outcomes on an on-going basis, and work with supervisor to continuously make VOA’s services more effective.
• Develop and maintain effective community partnerships to increase resources available to the people served by VOA’s housing, employment and corrections programs.
• Maintain accurate records and complete data entry within specified time frames for all participants in accordance with VOA policies and relevant regulatory and funding sources, including but not limited to use of HMIS.
• Obtain and continue required annual training for HMIS licensure and updates.
• Prepare reports as requested as a case manager and property management.
• Complete Occupancy reports, vacancy reports, and maintain a regular schedule of apartment inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
• Associates Degree in Human Services, Social Work or related acumen and 3 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, employment and life experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least one year experience preferred.
• Clean NYS Driver’s License
• Availability to occasional work evenings and weekends as required
• Strong organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products
• Flexibility required to respond to emergency participant needs
Knowledge of DSS, HMIS, HUD regulations, Housing First and/or other relevant regulatory systems and evidence-based practices a plus!
