About the Role
Under the guidance and support of the Multidisciplinary Team, you will deliver exceptional clinical treatment and support to individuals with a lived experience of mental illness. Managing a case load, your role extends beyond clinical responsibilities to actively cultivate and sustain collaborative partnerships with various internal and external service providers.

  • Maintain high standards of clinical practice and professional conduct at all times, ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of those under care.
  • Collaborate seamlessly within the multi-disciplinary team, supporting other care partners and ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, deliver targeted interventions, and provide treatment for individuals with intricate mental health needs, aligning practices with local policies and strategic directions.


Classifications for this position will range from RPN Grade 3 NP81 - NP74 ($107,546 - $119,438 per annum pro rata)



Your Contribution

  • A minimum of at least 2 years post qualification clinical experience within Mental Health for RPN
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in mental health for nursing staff
  • Current Victorian driver’s license
  • A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

The Continuing Care Team provides specialised treatment and ongoing support throughout the week during business hours. Employing the Strengths Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice, the multidisciplinary team delivers tailored clinical and therapeutic interventions to meet the specific needs of consumers with a lived experience of mental illness.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
