Brunswick County is currently accepting applications for a Case Manager to join our Emergency Medical Services team and support Community Paramedic Services. The Community Paramedic Services Case Manager plays a vital role in ensuring we’re able to positively impact the health, safety, and welfare of County residents during times of crisis, natural disasters, and other emergencies.
The Case Manager will provide case management support to individuals participating in the Community Paramedic program. The focus of this work will be to connect clients with resources and services to assist them to remain in their homes and address physical and mental health needs, including substance use. The Case Manager works in collaboration with other team members and the community to assess and link individuals to programs and services. Responsibilities include:

This position reports directly to the Community Paramedic Services Program Supervisor.
Bachelor's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution; OR bachelor's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and one (1) year of directly related experience; OR bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two (2) years directly related experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines including computers, calculators, copiers, facsimile machines, etc. Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for periods of time.
