Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

Location: Gosford with flexible hybrid working arrangements

In this role, you will collaborate closely with children, young people, their families and carers to create and implement case plans that strive towards achieving the permanency goals of those we support.

You'll build and maintain strong, functional relationships with both the children and their families, ensuring that every voice is heard and every need is met. Your efforts will be pivotal in supporting and monitoring placements, guiding carers in their foster care journey and helping them implement effective strategies that best support the children and young people within their care.

Role requirements:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree such as Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or similar ( A qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
  • Previous case management experience within an Out of Home Care (OOHC) /Child Protection setting
  • Experience supporting Children & Young People with disability, who have experienced backgrounds of trauma, abuse and/or neglect.
  • Working understanding of the NSW Permanency Support Program
  • Understanding of trauma and its effects on children and young people
  • Current unrestricted drivers’ licence

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NSW Working with Children Check

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
