Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Case Manager at Black Mountain Home for Children is to provide case management services for up to 15 youth of all ages and genders by working with the team leader to oversee the provision of case management services to assigned youth.


Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a strong Christian witness in all interactions with youth, staff, donors, volunteers, and the public to uphold Black Mountain Home's mission of Glorifying God by caring for children, youth, and families
  • Commit to pray regularly for youth, staff, and the ministry
  • Oversee youth admissions, in-care social services, and discharges
  • Maintain compliance with licensing and accreditation standards
  • Implement CARE principles in youth services
  • Represent the organization in community groups and help build bridges between the ministry and the broader community
  • Offer after-hours on-call support and emergency coverage in residential cottages
  • Maintain required records for all assigned youth, ensuring compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements
  • Attend staff meetings which include participation in a time of Christian devotion and prayer

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution; bachelor's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years' directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • MUST have a valid driver's license
  • Flexibility, patience, and a heart for transformation
  • Residential experience with children is a plus, but not required
