Case Kitchen Sanitation Worker

Position Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Kitchen Sanitation Worker! In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring our serving equipment, cookware, and facilities are spotless and sanitized to the highest standards. If you take pride in creating a safe, clean environment and thrive in a team-focused atmosphere, we want you on our team! Position location: Case Hall.

All positions in RHS are designated as critical status. In the event of a university closure, modification, or suspension of operations due to snow or other emergency condition, you will be expected to make all reasonable attempts to report to work as scheduled for the duration of the closure/suspension. If you have an approved remote work agreement to work a portion of your normally scheduled work hours remotely, you may be called upon to work on-site to serve the MSU community.

Minimum Requirements

• Casual knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment, and methods is necessary.
• Willingness to work a flexible shift is necessary.
• Frequent lifting of over 75 pounds is required.

Desired Qualifications

• Cleaning Expertise: Direct experience handling commercial cleaning materials, chemical sanitizers, and heavy-duty dishwashing equipment safely.
• Schedule Flexibility: High flexibility with work schedules, including a willingness to work early mornings, late nights and weekends as production demands change.
• Growth Mindset: Strong willingness to learn standard food service methods, kitchen safety protocols, and operational procedures for future development.

Monday through Wednesday 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Friday off, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., alternating weekends off.
