Purpose

The case aide is responsible for assisting case managers and the supervisor with any administrative tasks required under program guidelines.

Responsibilities

General Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist case manager and supervisor to ensure timely delivery of services and client support.
  • Assist case manager to maintain up-to-date case files and client records
  • Provide administrative support to case management team such as data entry, filing, and document preparation
  • Connect clients with in-house support and provide referrals to external service providers.
  • Assists case manager and supervisor to prepare and document monthly reports/tracking/financial logs and documents as required.
  • Assists the case manager and supervisor with projects as needed.
  • Documents all services in clients’ case notes.
  • Records all financial transactions in clients’ financial tracking logs.
  • Assists in any additional duties assigned.
  • Works varied hours, including occasional night and weekend work.
  • The position requires reference checks, background and motor vehicle background
  • Travel is required
  • Must be over 21 years of age.

Position Specific Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Support successful resettlement of refugees. This may include possible evening airport pickups for newly arriving refugees, transportation to appointments, housing set ups, and home visits, among others.
  • Fluency in refugee language (Spanish).
  • Provide interpretation and translation services to clients.
  • Conduct intakes and provide orientation to program.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

Education:

Associate’s degree or relevant experience

Experience:

Two years of administrative and/or case management experience required.

Required Skills:

Strong Communication Skills

Language fluency in written and spoken English is required.

Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Technical Proficiency

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Experience working with case management or other relevant databases a must.

Organizational Skills

The ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and maintain accurate records.

Attention to Detail

Accuracy with data entry and documentation is essential.

Cultural Competency

Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
