Job Description

RELATIONSHIPS:

  1. Reports directly to the Bar Manager

  2. Co-operates & c ommunicates with other employees

  3. Interacts with guests as appropriate.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Promote image of the restaurant by displaying impeccable manners, diplomacy and tact towards guests.
  2. Maintain constant flow of communication with and to the team.
  3. Sets up tables according to standard
  4. Removes dirty dishes from tables
  5. Sorts and exchanges soiled linen.
  6. Welcomes, greets and seats all guest when needed
  7. Ability to listen and follow up to all guest requests
  8. Cleans and replenishes guest supplies.
  9. Restocks stations throughout the day as needed
  10. Prepares bread station in the pantry (AM) or outside (PM).
  11. Polishes glassware, chinaware, cutlery, etc.
  12. Assist with the service when possible and/or as needed.
  13. After each meal clean properly the station and floor as needed.
  14. Replenish cupboards with tablecloths, silverware, glasses etc.
  15. Restock coffee station with cups and clean it after each shift.
  16. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.

  19. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant in all areas.

  21. Communicates to his/her manager any difficulties, guest comment and other relevant information.
  22. Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships.
  23. Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled.
  24. Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled.
  25. Perform other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
  26. Helps a Bartender to produce beverages according to the standard recipes and to control the issuing of beverages.
  27. Communicates politely and display courtesy to guests.
  28. Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest comment and
  29. Other relevant information.
  30. Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships.
  31. Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled.
  32. Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled.
  33. Prepares food & beverage material and equipment needed for the service in advance
  34. Continues to restock the Bar during the shift and ensures Bartender has all the tools needed throughout the night.
  35. Ensure working area is always clean
  36. Follows proper closing procedure:
  37. Cleans & restocks the Bar after last call and ensure it is ready to use for the next morning. Locks coolers & store rooms by the end of the shift.
  38. Follows proper key handling procedure
  39. Performs duties noted on the daily tasks & cleaning schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

  • Must be able to speak and understand English

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Food Hygiene awareness and at least basic training.

  • Ability to communicate in English with guests.

  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.

  • Ability to provide legible written communication.

    Desirable:

  • Food Hygiene certificate.

  • First aid awareness.

  • Possess a friendly, upbeat & outgoing personality.

    Essential Skills:

  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow through.

  • Ability to be a clear thinker remains calm and resolves problems using Sound judgment.

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to work an 8-hr shift in all types of conditions pertinent to the job.

  • Ability to work with all products and equipment prescribed.

  • Ability to comprehend instructions

  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

  • Ability & willingness to perform job tasks according to established standards.

  • Must be flexible and able to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as required.

The salary range for this role is $14.60 to $15.82This is the lowest to highest pay scale we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
