The University of Miami, Department of Sociology and Criminology, seeks applicants for part-time lecturer positions to teach one or two sections of Sociology/Criminology. In addition, duties require a minimum of one hour per week of office hours per course to meet with students.
Minimum qualifications include 1 year of college teaching experience and Ph.D. in Sociology or related discipline required by time of appointment. Applications will be reviewed as received and this pool will remain open throughout the academic year. An essential function and requirement of this position is in-person, face-to-face teaching for all classes. An appointment/offer is contingent upon student demand (enrollments) and available funding with the possibility that final confirmation will not be available until classes begin.
