The Supply Chain function is essential to Tropicana Brand Group’s success by enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products. By improving warehouse operations, optimizing transportation routes, and refining inventory management practices, the team plays a critical role in streamlining processes. Collaborating with other departments to align strategies, the Supply Chain team ensures that Tropicana meets customer demands while maintaining a high standard of performance and cost-effectiveness. Through their efforts, they contribute to both short-term achievements and long-term growth.

Your Next Pour: The Opportunity

We are looking to add a Senior Supervisor to our Carton team. This role will be responsible for you will play a vital role in driving strategic business objectives by overseeing departmental tasks related to safety, quality, and efficiency. This position emphasizes continuous improvement in production lines and requires a proactive leader who can effectively engage, coach, and motivate employees. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the Safety Manager to achieve safety goals and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide comprehensive training to staff on safety procedures and accident prevention
  • Enforce Tropicana Brands Group's safety rules, offering constructive feedback to manage performance.
  • Champion Carton-packaging quality and safety systems, holding employees accountable for product quality.
  • Maintain and enhance HACCP, Master Sanitation, Weight Control, and Quality programs, ensuring all designated quality checks are performed on schedule
  • Conduct line audits to verify equipment operation and compliance with standards, monitoring production performance to develop corrective actions.
  • Utilize in-house continuous improvement tools to analyze quality issues and implement action steps to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Analyze production processes using root cause analysis to identify issues and develop continuous improvement strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to production plans, regulating material flow and usage, and accurately reporting production achievements focusing on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Throughput Efficiency (TE).
  • Act as a Super User for SAP, providing support across all shifts and prioritizing work and improvements.
  • Assess training needs for staff, participating in the development and execution of training programs.
  • Hold regular one-on-one meetings with Team Leads to provide feedback and support for individual development.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

The Perfect Blend: Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in a consumer product environment, with preference for TPM or lean manufacturing experience.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and automation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Zarpac, and SQL is advantageous.
  • Support carton-packaging and product trials, ensuring timely resolution of labor-related issues in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Participate in grievance meetings or contract negotiations as needed.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned or as necessary.

Foundational Ingredients: Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in business, engineering, operations management, supply chain or similar field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future  
  • Must be located in Bradenton, FL surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
  • Willingness to be onsite daily in the Tropicana manufacturing plant in Bradenton, Florida
