</div><div><strong><u>Job Responsibilities</u></strong></div><ul>
<li>Provide and negotiate freight rates to carriers</li>
<li>Manage your daily shipments to ensure timely pick-up and delivery</li>
<li>Collaborate internally with your team on pricing strategy and account implementation plans</li>
<li>Communicate effectively both internally and externally</li>
<li>Resolve transportation problems with urgency and professionalism</li>
<li>Procurement of new carriers based on volume and lane density</li>
<li>Maintain strong grasp and market knowledge of shipping lanes, geography, and seasonality</li>
<li>Meet and exceed monthly goals as set by department leadership</li>
<li>Continue to apply strengths in all aspects of the business</li>
<li>Utilize feedback from supervisors and managers to improve weaknesses until they become strengths</li>
<li>Provide no fail service on each load</li>
<li>Handle and communicate all issues to appropriate parties in a professional manner</li>
<li>Ensure collaboration between yourself and the Driver Services Department to ensure all loads booked are tracked in accordance with Circle Logistics policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Properly qualify carriers booked to prevent any service failures</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with all carriers, customers and other Circle employees</li>
<li>Communicate load details upon booking, as well as any changes made after booking to assigned driver</li>
<li>Escalate issues properly in accordance with Circle Logistics Escalation Policy</li>
<li>Relay load updates internally to the proper parties (Operations Representatives, Account Managers and Client Strategy Managers as required)</li>
</ul><div><strong><u>Required Experience & Skills</u></strong></div><ul>
<li>Freight brokerage or account management experience required</li>
<li>Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred</li>
<li>Proficient in Google Drive and Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, reports)</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment and multitask</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail</li>
<li>Willing to be available after hours and weekends if needed</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving and time management skills</li>
<li>Strong work ethic</li>
