Job Description

The MNO Account Manager is responsible for building and growing Proximus Global’s commercial relationships with Mobile Network Operators across Europe. The role balances acquiring new MNO partnerships and signing new commercial agreements with actively managing and optimising an existing portfolio of operator relationships to drive margin, protect routes, and unlock new revenue streams.

You will be the commercial face of Proximus Global to mobile operators across A2P SMS, Rich Communications Services (RCS), and P2A messaging, working closely with internal pricing, routing, legal, product, and enterprise sales teams to close deals, stabilise prices, and protect against grey routes and Artificially Inflated Traffic (AIT).

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in telecommunications procurement, carrier relations, CPaaS and mobile connectivity ecosystems, along with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

•Identify and prioritise target MNOs across Europe for A2P SMS, RCS, and P2A partnership opportunities.
•Negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and commercial terms in collaboration with Legal, Finance, and Routing teams.
•Build and maintain a pipeline of new MNO opportunities with accurate forecasting in the CRM.
•Represent Proximus Global at industry events (MWC, GCF, MEF, regional operator forums) to develop new relationships and intelligence.
•Negotiate rates across all traffic classes (transactional, OTP, promotional) and product lines (A2P, RCS)
•Structure commercial constructs - brand-based pricing, volume tiers, commitment deals, and OTP-to-RCS migration incentives - to defend A2P volumes, protect margin, and accelerate adoption of newer channels.
•Partner with MNOs to identify and close grey routes, and educate operator stakeholders on the commercial, network, and reputational risks of Artificially Inflated Traffic (AIT).
•Plan and deliver joint workshops with MNOs to accelerate RCS readiness and joint go-to-market activity.
•Identify and negotiate exclusivity arrangements with strategic MNOs where they offer a clear competitive advantage and protected margin.
•Track significant regulatory and market changes in operator countries, assess commercial impact, and lead the internal solutioning effort with Legal, Compliance, Product, and Routing to keep Proximus Global compliant and commercially positioned.
•Conduct regular business reviews with operator partners to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.
•Coordinate with internal teams including legal, finance, product and operations departments to ensure effective partner management.

Essential Requirements

•3-5 years' experience in carrier relations, wholesale messaging, interconnect, or MNO partner management within a CPaaS, SMS aggregator, MNO, or telecom carrier environment.
•Proven track record of negotiating commercial agreements (MSAs, rate cards, volume commitments) with MNOs or wholesale carriers and managing complex international partnerships
•Solid working knowledge of A2P SMS economics, OTP, transactional, and promotional traffic classes, and the operator pricing landscape across EMEA.
•Familiarity with grey routes, SIM farms, and Artificially Inflated Traffic (AIT) - and the commercial levers used to combat them.
•Strong negotiation and commercial reasoning skills, with the ability to defend a position with data.
•Excellent written and spoken English; able to engage operator executives across Europe.
•Self-starter, comfortable owning a pipeline and a portfolio at the same time.
•Willingness to travel within Europe for operator meetings and industry events.
•Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills

We are offering

•Good compensation - Competitive € salary plus benefits package.
•Development opportunities.
•Challenging but also a friendly working environment.
•And much, much more...
