Move forward as Carrier Manager Pallet & Parcel at DSV in Venlo or Moerdijk

You will have the opportunity to build and optimise a European carrier network with direct impact on performance, costs and customer satisfaction. In this role, you combine strategy, negotiations and data to truly make a difference.

How you do this? By developing, managing and optimising a European pallet and parcel network for DSV Contract Logistics customers, you are responsible for creating a future-proof and efficient network that aligns with the dynamics of international supply chains. You analyse volumes, performance and market developments and translate these into strategic choices in carrier selection, network structure and capacity deployment. In doing so, you ensure an optimal balance between service, cost and flexibility, enabling customers to rely on reliable and scalable transport solutions.

At the same time, you actively steer performance and continuous improvement through data-driven insights, KPI monitoring and close collaboration with carriers, internal stakeholders and customers. You initiate optimisations in processes and ways of working, negotiate rates and service levels, and proactively respond to changes in demand and capacity. In doing so, you contribute to a stable, innovative and competitive transport network that directly supports customer satisfaction and operational excellence. You achieve this by:

• monitoring and improving carrier performance based on KPIs, MBRs/QBRs and in-depth analyses;
• aligning with carriers, internal stakeholders and customers on capacity, volumes and contractual agreements, and further expanding the network;
• negotiating rates and service levels and initiating process and cost optimisations within operations;
• managing carrier onboarding and improvement projects, including innovative and sustainable transport solutions.

You bring

• a bachelor’s or master’s degree and proven experience as a carrier manager or in logistics control within an international environment;
• extensive knowledge of pallet and parcel networks and strong negotiation and contract management skills;
• strong analytical skills and experience with KPI-driven management and data-driven decision-making.
