Your Next Career Opportunity – Carrier In-Building Sales Director
The primary function of this position is to serve as the main point of contact with wireless carrier customers to facilitate collocation on new or existing 3PO/Enterprise-funded DAS/Small Cell networks. The role includes obtaining actionable intelligence on future target locations for new network builds, negotiating favorable terms for collocation, and managing relationships with carrier stakeholders. This position collaborates with the Connectivity Solutions Real Estate Team, Legal, Finance, Operations, Delivery, Engineering, and other internal teams to identify and develop property leads; develop and execute sales approaches that will facilitate the deployment of distributed network infrastructure; and establish themselves as the company’s primary liaison for wireless carriers, recommending infrastructure solutions and driving contract negotiations to execution.
What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities
Act as the primary SBA contact with wireless carrier customers for collocation on new/existing 3PO and/or Enterprise-funded DAS and Small Cell networks.
Secure signal sources from wireless carriers for DAS deployments and ensure compliance with RF engineering requirements.
Market SBA assets to facilitate deployment of in-building wireless infrastructure to carriers, cable operators, and mobile-edge centric customers.
Strengthen existing carrier relationships and proactively expand engagement in new markets.
Act as a trusted advisor to carrier clients, identifying and solving challenges through strategic positioning of SBA’s offerings.
Develop working knowledge of SBA’s portfolio of business, including new asset builds, site development and construction services, leasing, and managed and growth business initiatives.
Negotiate and execute agreements with carriers in collaboration with Legal and Finance teams.
Facilitate frequent communication of project status, costs, and timelines with carriers and internal cross-functional teams to increase transparency and execution of relevant activities.
Develop expertise in SBA systems and tools, including OneVizion, Dynamics360, PM Database, and M2/Colo Platform.
Collaborate with SBA’s Legal department to prepare and facilitate carrier-centric agreements, taking ownership of the process and driving deal negotiation and contract execution.
Work Closely with Regional Sales Directors to identify, create and cultivate new business opportunities and maximize opportunities under existing contracts with our carrier customers.
Assure work is technically accurate and in compliance with established procedures, timelines, and customer standards/expectations.
Uphold and promote the SBA Cultural Code through strategic execution, innovation, and teamwork.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, or related field preferred.
5–10 years’ experience in DAS & Small Cell deployments.
5-10 years of proven experience in wireless carrier sales/business development roles, wireless carrier project management, site acquisition, and site development roles.
Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
Expert knowledge of distributed networks, DAS, CBRS, Wi-Fi, C-RAN, and converged networks.
Domestic Travel up to 40%
Proficiency in relevant sales and CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid Government Issued Driver’s License
Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
