We are looking for a candidate interested in commencing a Certificate III Carpentry apprenticeship in the Launceston area. This is a fantastic opportunity to commence your career in the building industry, working on a large commercial project.

Solid work ethic and the ability to learn and take instructions are vital for this opportunity, together with a genuine desire to complete this qualification.

What can you gain from completing an apprenticeship through Work & Training?

• You would be employed by Work & Training - one of the largest employers of Apprentices and Trainees in Tasmania, and hosted for the duration of your apprenticeship.
• You would be part of a committed team and under guidance of the site supervisor.
• Your Work & Training Consultant provides mentoring and employment support.
• At the completion of your apprenticeship you would receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220) and become a qualified trades person.

Learn how to:

• Assist in Commercial construction of large scale developments.
• Safely demolish existing structures, renovate and extend current structures.
• Work safely on busy building sites, alongside of other trade persons.
• Utilise power tools safely and in accordance to WHS policies and procedures.

Desired attributes:

• VET Pre-Vocational Construction qualification.

Essential attributes:

• Hold a current drivers licence and a reliable vehicle.
• Have a White Card
• Have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.
