Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Carpenter for leading acute hospital in South Dublin. This is a 6 month contract with the potential for a 6 month extension, working within the hospital's maintenance team.

Benefits

  • Salary: €42,486
  • 25 days leave, pro rata
  • 39 hour work week

Responsibilities

  • Carry out first and second fix carpentry works across the hospital campus
  • Repair and maintain doors, frames, locks and ironmongery, including fire doors
  • Fit and repair fixtures, fittings, shelving and furniture in wards, offices and clinical areas
  • Respond to planned and reactive maintenance requests through the work order system
  • Carry out remedial works following inspections and audits
  • Support the wider maintenance team on refurbishment and upgrade projects
  • Complete all work in line with infection control and health and safety procedures in a live healthcare setting
  • Keep accurate records of works completed and materials used
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working order

Requirements

  • Senior Trades Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery
  • Time-served carpenter with proven post-apprenticeship experience
  • Experience in maintenance, fit-out or a similar environment
  • Ability to work independently on planned and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Strong health and safety awareness in occupied buildings
  • Full eligibility to work in Ireland
