Job Description
A yacht construction and repair company based in Lavrio, Attica, is seeking an experienced Carpenter / Installer responsible for the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of wooden components and equipment on both new and existing vessels. The role requires a combination of carpentry and assembly/installation skills for furniture, decking, and interior spaces, with a strong focus on precision, quality, and the use of high-specification marine-grade materials.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture and install wooden components for vessels, including bulkheads, ceilings, doors, cabinets, furniture, decorative elements, and railings.
- Perform repairs, replacements, and refurbishments of wooden structures and fittings.
- Install equipment and furniture in vessel interiors and teak deck areas.
- Read and accurately interpret technical drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Use adhesives, epoxy resins, vinyl ester resins, and marine-grade materials for assembly and fastening applications.
- Collaborate with the production team to coordinate installations and meet project schedules.
- Adhere to safety procedures and maintain an organized and clean work environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in marine carpentry or high-quality woodworking and vessel equipment installation.
- Ability to work with both traditional and modern tools and machinery.
- Expertise in joinery, precision finishing, and installation of furniture and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of marine-grade materials, fasteners, and finishing techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred).
