We are a leading construction development company focusing on the design and production of multi-family apartments and condominiums within Canada, our team is looking for an experienced Foreman to help continue to grow their organization!
Job Title Carpenter Foreman
Location Kelowna, BC
Responsibilities:
- Maintain company safety guidelines and practices
- Good understanding of construction schedules and the ability to implement changes to accommodate work schedule accordingly
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints and convey this information to others
- Plan, implement and manage construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to report project status to superintendent daily
- Good understanding of safety policies and safe work while ensuring that all safety rules are being followed at all times
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead by example
- Provide proper guidance and learning opportunities for laborers and apprentices
- Efficiently delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the crew and sub-trades
- Develop and oversee quality standards on all sites
Qualifications:
- Completed high school or equivalent, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Open minded, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively
- 3rd or 4th level Journeyman Carpenter
- Possess strong leadership skills with effective participation in team environment
- Has excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Looking to participate in an exciting environment and company that is proving to be a game-changer in the industry
- 5 years of related construction experience
- Ability to travel as required
