Job Description

Supervises employees in the maintenance, repair and building of furniture, cabinets, desks etc. Project planning.  Performs all duties in accordance with Planet Hollywood policies and within the realm of the Planet Hollywood’s Mission Statement.

  • Supervise the maintenance, repair and building of furniture, cabinets, desks, etc.

  • Must be able to recognize and work with different types of wood.

  • Operate trade associated power tools.

  • Maintain work areas clean and safe.

  • Accurate bidding of projects.

  • Work with Facilities Manager in coordinating projects and scheduling work.

  • Take a leadership role in reporting and correcting unsafe work practices or unsafe facility conditions.

  • Train and assist area engineers in repair procedures and company policy.

  • Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in trade with 4 years’ experience in a hotel/casino. 

  • Must have experience working with laminates and all types of wood.

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. 

  • Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.  

  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be capable of maneuvering for prolonged periods of time, both inside and outside sometimes in temperatures in  excess of 115 degrees or cold temperatures below 10 degrees.

  • Must possess coordination and dexterity to work with tools of the trade. 

  • Must be able to use close, peripheral and focused vision. 

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. 

  • Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, walk and stand for prolonged periods of time. 

  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.  

  • Must be Able to maneuver on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.  

  • Must be able to be alert to work near moving parts.
