The Role

BGIS is seeking skilled Carpenters to join our Self Perform team in Cardiff, NSW, delivering high-quality building maintenance, repairs, and minor works across commercial client facilities.

In this role, you’ll provide end-to-end carpentry support as part of a collaborative building services team. You’ll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, minor construction projects, and general building repairs, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to BGIS quality standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver general carpentry maintenance, repairs, and building upgrades
  • Complete minor construction, refurbishments, and fit-out works
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across client sites
  • Assist with scoping, estimating, and job planning where required
  • Manage tools, materials, and job documentation through BGIS systems
  • Ensure all works meet WHS, compliance, quality, and environmental standards
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Support team scheduling and efficient utilisation of resources

Your Education, Experience & Skills

  • Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery
  • Minimum 3 years post-trade carpentry experience
  • Experience in maintenance, facilities management, or commercial building environments
  • Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance and construction
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
