POSITION PURPOSE SUMMARY:
To ensure facilities are cleaned consistently and regularly.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Daily Tasks
• Clean & disinfect all washrooms, toilets, showers, sinks, vanity & floor area
• Fill supplies of toilet paper, paper towels, etc. in bathroom & kitchen areas
• Clean, disinfect & air dry all guests mats & pillows
• Empty garbage containers & replace garbage bags. Wash containers regularly using best safety practices. Take garbage to outside garbage bins
• Laundry: Wash all bedding & towels used by guests, ensuring that dirty & clean laundry are kept always separate. Ensure dryer filter is cleaned after every use
• After completing laundry duties, clean & disinfect floors in laundry room, keep clean & free from clutter. Clean outside of washer & dryer. Ensure no items are on top or nears dryers. Clean & sanitize utility sink
• After bed mats are clean & dry, place all bed mats in designated area. Place folded bedding on each guest’s bed
• Disinfect & clean lower walls of guest sleeping area
• Disinfect & clean chrome table in media area. Include legs, edges & sides.
• Clean & disinfect all bins used for guest storage; let air dry & place in designated spaces.
• Mop & clean stair well & disinfect handrails & all door handles
• Clean & mop elevator
• Vacuum/wash floors in all areas. Clean & disinfect Security Desk area & counter surfaces. Wipe furniture surfaces
• Other tasks as assigned
Weekly Tasks
• Wash down wall in media area by television
• Wash down all walls by sleeping area
• Clean & disinfect bin shelving in the security area
• Other tasks as assign.
Monthly Tasks
• Clean all baseboards & door jams
• Damp cloth venetian blinds
Twice Per Year
• Strip & refinish all floors as needed
CRITICAL RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

• Managers and supervisors of various properties and group homes
External:
FINANCIAL AND MATERIALS MANAGEMENT:
• Responsible for ensuring cleaning supplies is stored properly and ordered as needed
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Working environment is typically in the office in generally agreeable conditions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Qualifications and Certifications:
• Related training would be an asset
Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements
• 1-2 years custodial experience
Skills and Capabilities:
• Capable of working with minimal supervision
• Pleasant, cooperative, dependable
• Knowledge of janitorial supplies
• Knowledge of health & safety issues
Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $18.39 to $22.99 with a maximum of $27.59.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
