Do you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of Elders? Wyanga Aboriginal Aged Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Carer/Support Workers to join our Client Support Team. This is an opportunity to provide essential care and support to Elders, ensuring their well-being, comfort, and dignity.

About the Role:

As a Carer/Support Worker, you will provide personalised care and assistance to clients, both in their homes and within the community. Your responsibilities will include supporting daily living activities, offering companionship, and promoting clients’ independence. You will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, culturally safe services tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide support with daily tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and shopping.
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in social and recreational activities.
  • Monitor and report on clients’ health and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of care and ensure compliance with organisational policies.

About You:

  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in caregiving or support, particularly in aged care or community services, is highly regarded.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility and reliability.
  • A valid Class C driver’s licence is required.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
