Your opportunity
As a Carer at Anglicare Sydney, you will provide high quality care and support to residents, helping them live with dignity and purpose. You will assist with daily tasks, provide emotional support, and offer companionship to residents. You will ensure the physical comfort and emotional health of our residents are met in a caring and nurturing environment.
With kindness and understanding, you will:
Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding
Support residents with mobility and physical assistance
Provide companionship and emotional support
Monitor and document residents’ progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care while fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the facility.
What you’ll bring
You are a kind-hearted, patient and respectful person who is passionate about enhancing the lives of older people. You share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, and bring them to everything you do.
To thrive in this role, you will need:
A minimum Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification
An NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance ID
All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework
Aged Care experience preferred
You will also have:
A passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
An understanding of the importance of maintaining residents’ dignity and independence
Alignment with Anglicare’s Christian ethos and values

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.
In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
