Your opportunity

As a Carer at Anglicare Sydney, you will provide high quality care and support to residents, helping them live with dignity and purpose. You willassistwith daily tasks, provide emotional support, and offer companionship to residents. You will ensure the physical comfort and emotional health of our residents are met in a caring and nurturing environment.

With kindness and understanding, you will:

• Provide personal careassistance, including showering, dressing,groomingandfeeding

• Support residents with mobility and physicalassistance

• Providecompanionship and emotional support

• Monitor and document residents’ progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.

• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care while fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the facility.

What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you willneed

• A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification, a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role

• AnNDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance ID

• All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian QualificationsFramework

• A passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life.

• Strong communicationand interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

• An understanding of the importance ofmaintainingresidents’ dignity and independence

After completing this interview, you will then be invited to a short video interview where you will be asked three scenario-based questions relating to your experience and insights on personal care. You will be able to record your answers from the comfort of your own home via mobile phone or laptop/computer.

Please note candidates must be available on a permanent part-time basis, at least 3 days per week.
