Job Description

Responsive recruiter

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Paid time off
  • Training & development

ARIS at Home is growing throughout Chicago's western suburbs, and we're looking for dependable, compassionate caregivers who are interested in flexible, one-on-one home care opportunities as new clients are added in their area.

This position is ideal for someone looking for part-time or supplemental caregiving hours rather than a guaranteed full-time schedule.

Unlike many caregiver positions that are tied to one specific opening, we are building our caregiver team throughout the western suburbs so that we can match caregivers with clients based on location, availability, experience, personality, and the type of care needed.

PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING

We want to be completely transparent about what this opportunity looks like.

You may not be assigned to a client immediately after completing the hiring and onboarding process.

Because our clients receive care in their own homes, schedules and locations vary as new clients begin services. Once an opportunity becomes available that fits your location, availability, skills and preferences, our scheduling team will contact you to discuss the client and schedule before assigning you.

We understand that applicants may have other employment or continue looking for work while waiting for the right client opportunity. We simply ask that you keep us updated on your availability so we know when an ARIS client may be a good match for you.

This opportunity may be an especially good fit if you:

  • Want part-time or supplemental caregiving hours
  • Already work another job but would like additional shifts
  • Prefer one-on-one care instead of working in a facility
  • Want to work with clients close to home
  • Have specific days or times you're available
  • Are comfortable starting with a smaller weekly schedule
  • Want the possibility of adding additional clients or hours over time

AREAS WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING

ARIS at Home is actively growing throughout the western suburbs, including areas such as:

Wheaton - Glen Ellyn - Winfield - Carol Stream - West Chicago - Warrenville - Naperville - Aurora - Batavia - Geneva - St. Charles and surrounding communities

You do not need to be available throughout all of these areas. We want to know where you live and how far you're comfortable traveling so that we can match you with clients close to you whenever possible.

POTENTIAL SCHEDULES

Client schedules vary and may include:

Weekday mornings - afternoons - evenings - weekends - short shifts - longer shifts

Hours will depend upon the individual client's plan of care and your availability.

There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours immediately upon hire. However, as ARIS continues expanding throughout the western suburbs, caregivers may have opportunities to add clients and hours based on availability and geographic proximity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Depending upon the individual client's needs, responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and feeding
  • Providing companionship and meaningful conversation
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Light housekeeping, laundry and linen changes
  • Medication reminders
  • Mobility and transfer assistance
  • Transportation or errands when included in the client's care plan
  • Following the client's established plan of care
  • Communicating changes or concerns to the ARIS care team

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous caregiving, senior-care, home-care or healthcare experience is strongly preferred.

Applicants should also have reliable transportation, dependable phone/email communication, the ability to follow a client's plan of care, flexibility when working with different client needs and personalities, and the ability to safely perform the physical requirements associated with caregiving.

Experience working with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, mobility limitations or other age-related conditions is especially valuable.

CNA certification is welcome but is not required for every ARIS caregiver position. Caregivers work with ARIS in non-medical home care roles such as caregiver, companion, personal care attendant, homemaker or home health aide.

WHY ARIS AT HOME?

ARIS stands for Accountability, Respect, Integrity & Service.

Our caregivers receive:

  • One-on-one client care
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Client matching based on availability, location and experience
  • Opportunities for additional clients and hours as they become available
  • Paid Time Off accumulation for eligible employees
  • Competitive compensation
  • 24/7 on-call support with a live ARIS team member
  • A local scheduling and support team that knows both our caregivers and our clients

INTERESTED, BUT ONLY AVAILABLE CERTAIN DAYS? APPLY ANYWAY.

One of the advantages of home care is that every client's schedule is different.

Even if you're only available two mornings a week, evenings, weekends, school hours, or another specific schedule, we'd still like to hear from you.

When you apply, we'll talk with you about where you're willing to travel, what hours you're looking for, your caregiving experience and the types of clients you're most comfortable working with.

That helps us contact you when the right opportunity becomes available.

If you're looking for meaningful, flexible one-on-one caregiving work in Chicago's western suburbs, we'd love to meet you.

Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
