About AW Health Care

AW Health Care is a local, private, women-owned company serving the medical and personal care needs of home-bound, aging, and disabled people. AW owners are very involved in company operations and work on-site daily.

AW Health Care provides medical home health care - - - skilled nursing care, PT/OT/speech therapy, home health aides and medical social work.

AW also provides personal home care - - - private duty services, support with daily living activities, household management, skilled nursing services, veterans assistance, Medicaid Chore Services, Consumer Directed Services (CDS) and geriatric case management. AW takes great pride helping seniors be safe, independent and well-cared for in their homes.

AW Health Care manages and operates outpatient physical and occupational therapy at their clinic locations in University City and St. Charles, Missouri.

AW Health Care also provides transportation services within the service area.

AW Health Care accepts Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, long term care insurance and veterans plans. The AW service area includes St. Louis City and the counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, Jefferson, Warren and Lincoln; and these seven counties in Illinois: Macoupin, Madison, Bond, Monroe, St. Clair, Clinton and Washington.

The “AW” means “Aging Well”. This care philosophy includes maintaining a healthy body, an active mind and positive outlook and greatly affects the ability to “age well”. AW care plans help patients regain lost abilities and build confidence to reach maximum potential.

AW Health Care is different…different because of(1) individualized care plans, (2) high levels of compassionate communication with the family and patient, (3) professional integrity, (4)courteous and reliable caregivers, (5) accountability to our clients and each other, and (6) the commitment to do “whatever it takes to care for the whole person because everyone deserves to age well.”
