Job Description


About the Program:


My
Quest’s objective is to provide a holistic development platform for young
people as well as provide a lifelong, continuous learning opportunity to
disadvantaged youth. We use content, pedagogy and technology, to drive the
delivery of teaching and learning. Through our signature blended learning approach,
we develop critical life-work skills that are critical for success in the 21st
century. Our curriculum includes media elements like games, videos, audio, and
visuals as well as the use of dictionaries for vernacular translations.


The Career support
Assistant

will be responsible for supporting and
coaching trainers, placement officers and principals of Women ITIs to help them
adopt and deliver Employability Skills Curriculum, Career Development, Industry
Engagement and Placement processes which enable female trainees transition into
work seamlessly.


Roles & Responsibilities:


Understanding of Youth
Employability, Skilling Ecosystem and Industry/Market


Develop
a thorough understanding of Employability Skills and Vocational Training
ecosystem in India.

Develop
and have a fair understanding of opportunities post vocational education and
employer/industry/market trends.

Build
working knowledge of Quest App and support program intervention across assigned
project WITIs and ensure adherence to the program design.


●

Have
a good understanding of facilitation skills, learner inclusive pedagogy and is
adept in facilitation with young people and ecosystem players.


Provide
reflective feedback on program design and implementation (especially with
respect to progress towards outcomes) and demonstrate a solution-oriented
approach.


●

Have
adequate knowledge about issues of women TVET trainees and basic gender-related
issues and concepts.


Institute Partnerships
and Technical Assistance on ES Delivery and Placements


  • Undertake
    institute visits in Govt ITIs on day-to-day basis and supervise the transfer of
    ES delivery and Placement initiatives from QA to the ITIs along with being an
    important link and bridge between the ITI/NSTI and QA.

  • Support
    and Mentor institute Trainers in the initial setup of the Career Clubs and
    Placements cells and offer assistance and technical support to lead career
    sessions, job drives, self-employment activities, market scans and exposure
    visits,etc as per the prescribed Handbooks.

  • Develop
    effective working relationships with Institute Principals in alignment with ITI
    Ecosystems and women and work strategy.

  • Engage
    and orient Trainers about Quest App and /or Bharat Skills portal and follow up
    with them to ensure student access and uptake.

  • Facilitate
    Data Collection, document Success Stories of Students and experiences of
    Trainers from QA intervention.

  • Regularly
    provide the principals an update on progress and coach them on ways to support
    trainers and ensure longer term sustainability of program outcomes.

  • Participate
    in institute level trainer meetings, parent meetings/ events/Campaigns and
    other community activities organized by institutes or DET/DGT.


Industry Engagement


  • Work
    closely with Industry Engagement manager and Placement Coordinators at the
    regional level to drive industry engagement activities at the ITIs/NSTIs

  • Identify
    and establish partnerships with relevant industries/ businesses/ Self Help
    groups for their locations

  • Develop
    and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders to understand
    their needs and expectations.

  • Facilitate
    regular communication between ITIs and industry partners.

  • Conduct
    and Co-lead all industry engagement activities like Job Readiness, Market
    scans, Guest lectures, Exposure visits, etc.

Reporting

  • Support
    M & E team to implement monitoring tools as per the project framework

  • Compile
    the field level report and data as per the framework

  • Document
    and share the best practices in the institutes for publication in monthly and
    quarterly reports.

  • Provide
    regular written and verbal reports tracking progress against the work plan and
    implementation schedules

  • Support
    with the documentation of training/ meeting/ event reports

  • Support
    coordination of baseline/ endline and other assessments

  • Ensure
    data is updated in the database for their respective institutes

  • Be
    available for regular line management meetings and the appraisal processes.


Hold the essential day-to-day business as usual (BAU) operations
with steadiness and intention ensuring that ongoing tasks, deliverables, and
team rhythms are managed with reliability, responsiveness, and a deep
connection to Quest’s values and priorities.

Provide

●

Assist

Ensure
timely implementation of job drives, self-employment activities, and industry

Facilitate
or co-lead training sessions for trainers and students at the institutes.


●

Share
regular updates with Institute Principals and QA team on program progress.


●

Document
implementation experiences and success stories of trainers and students.


●

Support
tracking of ES curriculum delivery and industry engagement metrics.


●

Participate
in trainer meetings and submit progress reports based on observations.


●

Build
effective working relationships with Principals, Trainers, and Placement
Officers.


●

Coach
principals to sustain program outcomes and support trainers effectively.


●

Participate
in parent meetings, community campaigns, and DET/DGT-led events.


●

Maintain
strong coordination with Industry Engagement Managers and Regional Placement
Coordinator.


Requirements


Required Qualification & Skills:


●

A
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline


●

Fluency
in spoken and written English as well as Malayalam


●

Good
communication skills


●

Ability
to train youth and youth facilitators - with 1 Year experience minimum


●

Proficient
in MS Office tools and Internet


●

Candidate
should be flexible, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and an energetic team player


●

Awareness
of sensitivity and gender inclusion in education, skills, and the workplace.

Salary:

The
pay band for the position starts at Rs. 23,000/- per month (cost to company)
(The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of
the candidate)
