The Career Services Manager leads the design, implementation, and oversight of career services programming that supports PPL participants in achieving sustainable employment and career advancement. This role supervises career services staff, strengthens employer partnerships, ensures high‑quality service delivery, and uses data‑informed practices to continuously improve outcomes.

✅What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with the Director of Career Services to execute impactful career development programming
  • Maintain, convene, and work in collaboration with post-secondary education institutions and employer partners on program design, delivery, and implementation of services
  • Research job trends and curriculum development opportunities to elevate program design and quality of content
  • Facilitate program workshops as needed in support of Career Coaching team

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position supervises a PPL Employment Training team comprised of a Lead Career Coach and Career Coach(es)
  • Recruit, hire, train and evaluate staff to maintain quality within the program
  • Identify individual and program training initiatives to provide professional development opportunities for existing staff
  • Complete performance evaluations and provide appropriate coaching and counseling

What You Bring

  • Experience with program development, management, and execution
  • Knowledge of employment and training trends and resources, community agencies, and other programs
  • Experience with community programs and resources, Adult Basic Education services, employment services, training programs
  • Experience in career development, job seeking, and job retention skills
  • Experience with coaching, problem solving, and providing crisis intervention
  • Valid Minnesota driver’s license with a good driving record (consistent with PPL’s driving policy)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Education, Human Services, Management or a related field required AND/OR 3+ years work experience in Program Management (preferably in nonprofit but not required), Project Management, or related field of work may serve as equivalent to education requirement
  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role
