The Competitive Skills Scholarship Program (CSSP) helps eligible Maine people access education and training that leads to high-wage, in-demand employment. As a member of the CSSP Intake Team, you will serve as a dedicated case manager responsible for determining program eligibility and helping participants develop individualized career and training plans.
This position combines analytical decision-making with customer-focused career counseling. You will evaluate eligibility under program laws and policies, work directly with applicants to gather required documentation, and guide participants in selecting education and training that aligns with their skills, interests, and Maine's workforce needs.
Successful candidates are skilled at balancing customer service with sound judgment. You will independently evaluate applications, interpret program requirements, and provide career counseling that results in comprehensive employment and training plans. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases are essential.

Gym Membership Reimbursement – Improve overall health with regular exercise and receive up to $40 per month to offset this expense.
Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts – Set aside money pre-tax to help pay for out-of-pocket health care expenses and/or daycare expenses.
