Providing a wide range of care and support to service users with Learning Disabilities and/or Mental health disorders to meet their assessed needs through goal setting objectives and in accordance with best practice taking account of Practice Standards. This role may include lone working, and all successful applicants will be expected to carry out all shift patterns on a rota basis, which include days, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and wakened nightshifts

Salary range is £29,170.80 to £31,761.26 per year; this is a full-time post (36hrs per week) and a permanent contract. Enhancements for unsocial hours, sleepovers and public holidays are provided.

Fife Council will offer training and development to meet your SSSC registration requirements and will cover the cost of your annual SSSC registration. There is a generous annual leave allowance of 33 days, increasing to 38 days after 5 years’ service.

The Person

To ensure you achieve registration with SSSC as part of the Social Care Workforce within 6 months of starting in a new role, you must apply for registration within 3 months of your start date on the Social Care Workforce - Practitioner register. To maintain your registration, you must hold or work towards the SSSC benchmark qualification for the role, complete the required Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) for the role and submit an annual declaration via MySSSC. The benchmark qualification for this role includes SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 7 or social services children and young people SCQF

To act as Keyworker including monitoring and ensuring the service user is being offered the opportunities, experience, care and support identified in their support plan. Keeping accurate records of outcomes focused support planning and review for the people whom you support. Ensuring changes in service user health and wellbeing, care plans, risk assessments etc. are recorded and communicated across the team. To work as part of a team liaising with colleagues to ensure an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to service

Ability to travel within Fife.

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

As this role requires SSSC registration, you will have three months to apply for registration.

If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required three months.

If you need to achieve a qualification to maintain your SSSC membership, information will be provided if you are appointed. You must ensure you complete the qualification within the specified timeframe.
