The Lead Care Navigator Medical Assistant/ Non-Medical Assistant will perform a wide range of duties in the medical office.
The Lead Care Navigator will help patients navigate the support services in the community and apply for programs needed. The Lead will be a support to in-clinic Care Navigation staff and will meet and network with other Lead Care Navigators within MCC. The Lead Care Navigator MA/Non-MA will have direct contact with patients and work closely with the care team.
Applicable to certified medical assistants: As a Medical Assistant, the Lead Care Navigator will assist as a Medical Assistant in examination of patients under the direction of a Physician, Physician Assistant, Family Nurse Practitioner and/or Psychiatrist/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. The Lead Care Navigator MA/Non-MA is under the direction of the Care Navigator Supervisors and Care Navigator/ Behavioral Health Operations Manager.
