Help protect the health, safety, and well-being of vulnerable adults across Alaska.
As a Care Facility Licensing Surveyor (CFLS), you will oversee and support Alaska’s licensed Assisted Living Homes. In this role, you will conduct licensing inspections, process new facility applications, evaluate modification and variance requests, and carry out investigations to ensure compliance with state regulations. You will also provide technical assistance to help homes create safe, supportive environments for residents.

The Care Facility Licensing Surveyor(1/2/3) position is located in midtown Anchorage at the Residential Licensing Program main office, 4601 Business Park Blvd. This position includes office and field work and may include travel within the state.

Successful completion of training under a formally established Care Facility Licensing Surveyor flexible staffing training plan with the State of Alaska.

This position is flexibly staffed. This vacancy may be filled at either the 1, 2, or 3 levels, depending on the applicant's training and/or experience. The full range of salaries is listed above. The starting salary will be determined by the position level. If filled at a lower level, promotion to the higher level will only occur upon successful completion of the probationary period and the required training, provided the applicant meets the minimum qualifications of the higher job class and receives final approval from the supervisor.
