Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily, weekly, and ongoing schedules for Personal Care Aides (PCAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), and other field staff.
  • Match caregivers with client cases based on availability, qualifications, location, client needs, and agency requirements.
  • Fill open shifts and address call-offs, cancellations, late arrivals, and other staffing changes.
  • Communicate schedule changes to caregivers, clients, families, and appropriate agency departments.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling information within the agency's scheduling or electronic health record system.
  • Maintain awareness of caregiver availability and help maximize staffing coverage.
  • Work collaboratively with Recruitment, Human Resources, Clinical, Coordination, and Operations departments.
  • Participate in after-hours or on-call scheduling responsibilities when required.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service to clients, caregivers, families, and internal staff.
  • Protect confidential client and employee information in accordance with agency policies and applicable regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in home care, healthcare scheduling, staffing, customer service, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with PCAs, HHAs, caregivers, or home health staff preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic scheduling or healthcare software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

The client makes choices that suit their needs. It's about your well-being and preferences. Consumers are free to choose their caregivers and take full responsibility for hiring, training, supervising, and, if necessary,

terminating the employment of those providing the services.
