1. Providebasicnursingcarethatalignswiththevision,mission,philosophy, goals, and objectives of the nursing services and the hospital.
2. Notifythenursingleadersofanysituationsthatimpactthequalityof care.
3. Obtainwardreportandassignmentatthebeginningofeachshiftandperform additionaltasksasassignedbytheUnitManagerorSeniorRegisteredNurse.
1. Daily routine:
· Conductsregularnursingroundstoassesspatients’needsand communicate with them and their families.
· Preparesandtidiespatients’bedsandlinensasneededandorganizes patients’ belongings as well as furniture.
· Disinfectsthebeds,furniture,andequipmentafterutilizing them.
· Keepstheward,store,fridge,anditsfacilitiescleanand tidy.
· AssistthepatientwithActivitiesofDaily Living
· Answerphonecallsandrelay messages.
· Attendantstopatientscallthebell promptly.
· Assistsnursesintransportingpatientstoandfromtheoperating theatre.
· Escortspatientstootherservicesfordiagnostictestsandfromthewardto other areas upon discharge.
· Dispatchesspecimenstothelaboratoryandcollects results
· Collectpharmacyandsurgicalsuppliesfrompharmacyandthestoreas required to maintain adequate stock levels for operations.
· Sendoutportableoxygentanksforrefillingorexchange,ensuringa continuous supply for emergency needs.
5. Assiststhetrainedstaffinvarious aspects:
· Carriedoutofnursingcare,suchaspatientcomfort,safety,nutrition, hygiene, admission, transfer, discharge, dressing, intravenous lines, catheterization, etc.
· Cleansanddisinfectsthetrolleyandinstrumentsafteruseandstoresthem properly.
· Recordsthedailychargesfortheitemsusedinthewardandupdatesthe patients’ charges accordingly.
· Maintainstherecordofintakeandoutputchartforeach patient.
· Lifts,turns,andpositionspatients safely
· Accompaniestheconsultantinperformingproceduresandroundsinthe absence of trained nurses
