Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: FC4 - £26,786.83 - £29,170.80 per year pro rata

Working Pattern: 24 & 36 Hours per week, Dayshift, lateshift, sleepovers and nightshifts

Location: Glenrothes, Markinch and Cardenden

Job Details

Undertaking a range of personal/physical care tasks which may include assistance with washing, dressing, eating, toileting, administration of medication and any other tasks in accordance with the care plan. There may be times where Lone Working is expected.

Enabling people to maximise their independence in relation to their personal and social needs in accordance with National Care Standards.

Fife Council will offer training and development to meet your SSSC registration requirements and will cover the cost of your annual SSSC registration. There is a generous annual leave allowance of 33 days, increasing to 38 days after 5 years’ service.

The Person

  • Providing positive support and encouragement for people to make their own choices and decisions in all aspects of their daily lives.
  • Providing flexible support enabling people to access activities and achieve their personal outcomes.
  • Establishing links with other providers, statutory and voluntary agencies, including health, to develop positive working relationships and compiling information on other relevant and available community resources that may be used by the people whom you support.
  • Actively promoting and ensuring a high standard of care practice in accordance with National Care Standards.
  • Keeping accurate records of outcomes focused support planning and review for the people whom you support.
  • Ensuring individuals are always treated in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Undertaking domestic duties as required.
  • Participating in service/external training, staff/team meetings, as necessary
