Salary:FC4 £26,786.83 - £29,170.80(Pro-Rata)

Working Pattern: Various posts available working 30 to 36 hours per week

Location:Various locations across Cowdenbeath, Lochgelly and Kelty

To provide support for people within their own homes and their local community. This may be in a shared tenancy or a one-one basis where successful applicants may be lone working.

You will be provided with all necessary training such as Moving and Handling, Dysphagia and lone working where required.

  • Auto enrolment onto the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
  • Enhancements of time and a third for unsocial hours which is from 8pm to 7am and all weekend hours.
  • Sleepovers are paid at the SGLW rate.
  • 32 annual leave days rising to 37 days after 5 years.

This role includes dayshifts, backshifts, sleepovers and nightshifts and weekend working.

The Person

Must have or be willing to achieve in the first period of registration, the Social Services and Healthcare SCGF level 5 (equivalent to SVQ2) or equivalent to meet Scottish Social Services Council registration.

Communication skills, organisational skills, ability to manage and prioritise workload, ability to work with minimal supervision, team working skills, literacy skills and basic IT skills.

Ability toprovidesupport to individuals with personal care needs, medication administration, budgeting, cooking and cleaning, moving & handling, ability to undertake physical taskse.g.being able to comfortably kneel on beds and floors and able to rise without difficulty.

You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over thefirstregistration period.

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

As this role requires SSSC registration, you will have three months to apply for registration.

If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required six months.

If you need to achieve a qualification to maintain your SSSC membership, information will be provided if you are appointed. You must ensure you complete the qualification within the specified timeframe.
