Fife Council is seeking enthusiastic and committed Care Assistants to join its Adult Services (Resources) team.
You will provide care and support to adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and/or mental health needs, supporting them to live as independently as possible in their own homes or supported accommodation.
The role involves both team working and lone working, delivering high-quality, person-centred care in line with Health and Social Care Standards.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver personal care, including assistance with daily living activities
Support individuals to develop independent living skills
Promote social inclusion and community participation
Assist with mobility and moving & handling tasks (including wheelchairs)
Support with household tasks, shopping, and appointments
Contribute to care plans and maintain accurate records
Work flexibly across services based on service user need
The role also requires working unsocial hours including public holidays where necessary.

To be successful in this role, you will:
Demonstrate a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable adults
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be able to work independently and within a team
Show flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic care environment
You must:
Be willing to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
Hold or work towards SCQF Level 6 (SVQ2) in Social Services & Healthcare
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme
