REQUIRED PROCEDURES

  • CABG

  • Thoracic surgery

  • Vascular surgery

  • Cardiac surgery

  • Removal of Chest Tubes

  • Removal of Pulmonary Artery Catheter

  • Removal of Epicardial Wires

  • Removal of Intra Aortic Balloon Pump

  • Vein and Artery Harvesting

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Board: NCCPA/Board-certified NP

  • Licenses: Active Ohio License

  • DEA: Active DEA

  • Certifications: ACLS

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year surgical experience

  • NOTE: Would consider an NP if they are also an RNFA and have open heart surgical experience

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries (elective and emergent)

  • Perform hospital rounding on surgical patients

  • Provide assistance in clinic

  • Take night and weekend call

  • Perform procedures such as removal of chest tubes, pulmonary artery catheter, epicardial wires, intra aortic balloon pump, and vein/artery harvesting
