
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for providing specialized patient care within both invasive and non-invasive cardiac services, focusing on the management and operation of cardiovascular technology. The role involves a blend of direct patient care, equipment management, and administrative duties to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and the safety of patients undergoing various cardiac procedures.
JOB
ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT
Ensure adherence to the hospital’s vision, mission, and nursing care standards
Perform diagnostic procedures such as ECG, echocardiograms, treadmill stresstests, holter monitoring andambulatory blood pressuremonitoring.
Interpret ECG results and detect abnormalities
Assess the patient's condition and compare with diagnostic reports
Report abnormal findings to the relevant cardiologist or physician immediately
Discuss procedural details and special preferences with the cardiologist or physician before any procedure
Check and ensure correct billing for services rendered
Inform Unit Manager or Chief Nursing Officer when changes occur that affect the standard of care
Maintain effective communication with all disciplines, patients, and relatives
Assist other departments requiring specialized technical assistance
Ensure cleanliness of the department and prepare for the next patient.
Document all cases accurately in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Record Book
Assist in transporting patients before and after cardiac procedures
Attend and participate in unit meetings, dialogue sessions, and hospital activities
Provide feedback to the Unit Manager or Chief Nursing Officer after assignments
Participate in planning, developing, and evaluating Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory services
JOB REQUIREMENT
Education:
Knowledge and Experiences:
·Registered with Medical Assistant Board of Malaysia with valid license to practice as a Medical Assistant.
Skills & Competencies: ·3 years’ experience with Post Basic certificate in Cardiovascular Technology ·Bachelor’s in nursing or relevant post graduate qualification.
Special skills required
·Fluency and comprehensive in written and spoken English.
·Microsoft office literacy

·Willingness to work on scheduled hours, shift, and weekends, public holidays, on-call and anytime when called during emergency.

Education:
·Registered with the Nursing Board of Malaysia with a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse
·Post Basic qualification in a related field
