About the Role

The primary purpose of the Cardiovascular Technician position is to provide direct patient care, perform as a scrub person during Cath Lab procedures, perform hemodynamic and physiologic monitoring, assist in the preparation of the procedural room and set-up of table and equipment for procedures, under the direction and supervision of a Physician and Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab).
  • Perform scrub duties during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
  • Monitor and record hemodynamic and physiological patient data throughout procedures.
  • Prepare the procedure room, including equipment, instruments, and supplies.
  • Set up and maintain the procedure table and related equipment.
  • Assist physicians and registered nurses during Cath Lab procedures.
  • Ensure procedural areas and equipment are ready and functioning properly.
  • Carry out duties under the direction and supervision of a physician and registered nurse.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program or equivalent training; or successful completion of the Cardiovascular Technologist Internship Program within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Department.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory experience.
  • Experience with:
    • Cardiac hemodynamic monitoring
    • Physiologic monitoring
    • Providing first-line sterile assistance during diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac procedures
  • CVT (Cardiovascular Technician) or RCVT (Registered Cardiovascular Technologist) certification is highly preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.

Compensation

The expected hourly rate is $40.76, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law.
