Summary: The Cardiovascular Technician, Non-Registered shall be responsible to work as a team member with other cardiac personnel, physicians, and patients to provide the technical expertise necessary to perform procedures required in the Cardiac areas. This individual must be familiar with all the equipment involved in performing such duties, and ability to operate such equipment efficiently and accurately. The Technician must have knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, hemodynamics, and sterile technique. The Technician will be responsible to provide the physicians with reliable data and results at completion of the procedure. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education / Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in Health Sciences preferred. In lieu of EMT certification, relevant experience shall be considered.
License / Certification:
EMT or Paramedic certification preferred, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) may be required
