Job Description

Carondelet Cardio East

Perform stress testing including treadmill and pharmacological tests, ankle brachial index testing and Holter monitor applications.

  • Conduct job duties in accordance with TPR policies, compliance procedures, and patient confidentiality.
  • Perform Treadmill and Pharmacological Stress testing, Stress ECHO, ABI’s, and Holter monitors.
  • Manage Holter Monitor application and maintain associated electronic records.
  • Perform Resting EKG and ABI testing.
  • Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate clinical charting.
  • Maintain files, update computer data, and run charges on all tests.
  • Communicate with patients, physicians, and hospital personnel to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Relay and retrieve TTM reports to and from designated physicians promptly.
  • Monitor and respond to tasks daily, documenting current status in the EMR.
  • Assist with additional duties including phone calls, report distribution, and department statistics.

Education: HS Diploma/GED, completion of Certified Medical Assistant program and completion of a certified EKG certification or Certified Cardiographic Stress Testing course.

Preferred Education: Successful completion of arrhythmia, 12 lead EKG certification exam and ACLS certification or Certified Cardiographic course with ACLS certifications.

Certification Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Experience: One year experience in Cardiographic Tech or one to two years’ cardiology clinic experience.

Preferred Experience: Prior experience as a Medical Assistant, stress treadmill and stress pharmalogical experience.
