What You’ll Do
Lead daily operations for cardiovascular services (Cath Lab, Cardiac Step-Down, and related units)
Drive quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
Support, coach, and mentor staff RNs and techs
Partner with physicians and directors to enhance service line performance
Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Manager provides the staff development expertise as a leader, educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent and researcher to nurses in the units. Supports the development of the bedside nurse and fosters empowerment through skills, experience and knowledge to achieve excellence during the delivery of evidence-based nursing practice. Requires the knowledge and skill of professional nursing theory and practice, leadership in administration, principles of effective teaching and learning, fiscal management and effective interpersonal relationships and communication. Assumes responsibility of care of patients as they move through the hospital and into other level of care in the organization and community. Twenty-four hour accountability for assigned unit required.
Education:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing required
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing required
Masters degree in related field preferred
Experience:
At least five (5) years previous experience in clinical unit required.
Three (3) years previous management experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other health care professionals required
Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as independent thinking, judgment, organizational and prioritizing ability are a must
Excellent computer skills, to include familiarity with: Microsoft Office, email, payroll software, computerized charting, pyxis software, etc. required.
Licenses/Certificates:
License to practice in the State of Illinois
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or certifications required upon hire.
Compensation:
Hourly Range - $36.30-$54.44
Licenses/Certificates:
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross BLS certification required upon hire.
Certification in the State of Illinois required.

Incentives:
Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
Bonus:
Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire.
