To provide the highest quality age-appropriate care within the scope of practice and established standards for electrocardiography, pacemaker analysis, and cardiac stress testing. Performs prescribed Non-Invasive Cardiology testing to identified patients. To proactively support the efforts that ensures delivery of safe patient care and services and to promote a safe environment at Children's.

Experience

  • N/A

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cardiology
  • Experience in pediatrics
  • Possess an understanding of electrocardiograms
  • Training in exercise stress testing

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or Certified Cardiology Technologist

Certification Summary

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Good understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology and arrhythmias
  • Must possess excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs electrocardiogram procedures for interpretation incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
  • Performs cardiopulmonary exercise testing and stress echo testing with respiratory gas measurements and spirometry in a clinical setting incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
  • Performs Holter monitor placement and analysis incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
  • Performs tilt table exams and analysis incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
  • Assist with pacemaker clinic as directed by physician incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.
  • Ensures accuracy of all patient documentation.
  • Maintains professional development.
  • Participates in the achievement of organizational and departmental goals.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.
