Salary: $25.168, $25.689

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Under the direction of the Diagnostic Services Manager, the Cardiology Technician works as part of a multidisciplinary team, to provide best practice Diagnostic Imaging Services on a regional basis in order to promote good health and quality of life.

Functions are conducted in accordance with the Mission and Values of Shared Health, current policies and procedures and applicable legislation.

Experience

  • Two (2) years’ experience in performing of ECG and Holter monitoring within the last five (5) years.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Grade 12 education (MB Standards).
  • Other combinations of suitable education and experience may be considered.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training – as delineated in Prairie Mountain.
  • Health Policy PPG-00002 CPR Training with a BCLS Instructor Certificate.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), as well as Internet applications and other Information Technology.
  • Demonstrated leadership.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize in a changing environment.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to display independent judgment.
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
