
Job Title: Veterinary Cardiology Specialist / Residency-Trained Clinician
Location: Winchester, Hampshire
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Cardiology Specialist (Board-Certified) or Residency-Trained Clinician to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, referral-based environment, delivering exceptional care to patients with complex cardiac conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with cardiovascular diseases, including echocardiography, ECG interpretation, and interventional procedures.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (internal medicine, surgery, anaesthesia) to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Offer clinical guidance and mentorship to interns, residents, and nursing staff.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses.
Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Engage in continuing education and maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in veterinary cardiology.
Requirements
Board Certification (ECVIM or ACVIM in Cardiology) OR completion of a recognized cardiology residency program.
Proven clinical experience in managing complex cardiac cases.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to client care and team collaboration.
Ability to work in a fast-paced referral hospital environment.
Desirable Skills
Experience in interventional cardiology procedures (e.g., pacemaker implantation, balloon valvuloplasty).
Interest in teaching and mentoring veterinary professionals.
Research involvement or willingness to contribute to clinical studies.
