• 
  Assist the Cardiac Surgeon in preoperative assessment and preparation of
  patients.
• 
  Review relevant clinical information, investigations, imaging, and laboratory results.
• 
  Assist during cardiac surgical procedures under the supervision of the Consultant Cardiac Surgeon.
• 
  Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and required materials for procedures.
• 
  Assist with surgical exposure, haemostasis, wound closure, and other appropriate surgical tasks within scope of practice.
• 
  Monitor patients and support postoperative care in collaboration with the Cardiac ICU and perioperative teams.
• 
  Assist in identifying and escalating postoperative complications.
• 
  Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary cardiac case discussions.
• 
  Maintain accurate clinical and surgical documentation.
• 
  Support patient and family communication as directed by the Consultant Cardiac Surgeon.
• 
  Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, teaching, and service development

Requirements

• 
  Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) for a physician-level role, or other
  relevant surgical qualification as applicable to the position structure.
• 
  Current professional registration and practising licence.
• 
  Minimum of three (3) years of relevant surgical experience.
• 
  Experience in cardiothoracic or cardiac surgery is highly desirable.
• 
  Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an operating theatre and multidisciplinary clinical environment.
• 
  Strong clinical assessment, communication, and technical skills.
• 
  Good understanding of perioperative and postoperative surgical care.
• 
  Commitment to patient safety, professionalism, and continuous learning.
• 
  Open to qualified local and expatriate candidates.
