Starting rate is $45/hour. Hourly pay is based on experience, education, and certifications, plus additional differentials, premiums, and incentives where applicable.

Located at 140 Yarmouth Road in Hyannis Massachusetts, Mass General Brigham (Hyannis, Cardiology), a member of the Mass General Brigham Heart and Vascular Institute and formerly Cardiovascular Consultants of Cape Cod, offers outpatient general cardiology services, echocardiography, cardiac stress testing and nuclear cardiac imagining. While supporting the Cape Cod community, providers of the practice also support both Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Cottage Hospital, to bring cardiac care closer to home for patients and provide a bridge to Mass General Brigham academic medical centers where advanced care is needed!

We are looking to hire a 40-hour Echo Sonographer for 10-hour shifts (6:30-5). Monday, Tuesday and Friday will be in Hyannis, and Wednesday will be in our Orleans location.

Key Responsibilities
1. Perform Comprehensive Cardiac Ultrasound Exams
Independently perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs), portable cardiac ultrasound studies, and contrast/bubble studies while acquiring diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
2. Assess and Prepare Patients for Procedures
Review patient histories, prior imaging, and clinical information to ensure appropriate exam protocols and deliver safe, patient-centered care.
3. Document and Communicate Findings
Prepare accurate preliminary reports and communicate relevant findings to interpreting physicians in a timely manner.
4. Maintain Safety, Quality, and Compliance Standards
Prepare equipment and exam rooms, adhere to infection prevention and patient safety protocols, and comply with all privacy, departmental, and hospital policies.
5. Support Exceptional Patient Experiences
Utilize proper positioning and ergonomic scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort, safety, and a positive experience for patients and families.
6. Contribute to Departmental Excellence
Participate in quality improvement and accreditation activities, assist with scheduling and workflow coordination, and meet established productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Sonography preferred

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI, or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS required

  • Previous experience as a Cardiac Sonographer preferred

  • New Hampshire locations: Medical Imaging License through the State of New Hampshire Office of Professional Licensure & Certification (OPLC) required upon hire
