Under the general supervision of theDepartmentClinical Manager and Lead Sonographer performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures on adult inpatients and outpatients.  These include but are not limited to, Transthoracic Echo,TransesophagealEcho, and Stress Echo.

-Performs all testing procedures in echocardiography listed in the department protocols.

- Performs diagnostic exercise/pharmacological stress echocardiograms.  In doing so, producesaccurateclinicalinformation used by the cardiologistfor the diagnosis of cardiac medical disorders. 

- Responsible for responding to cardiac arrests asrequired

- Responsible forparticipatingin theon callrotation

- Troubleshoots technical methods ofechocardiographyas necessary. 

- Ensures a safe testing environment in all daily operations. 

-Demonstratesabilityto retrieve and send datautilizingthe clinical and financial information systems. 

- Understands physician orders andappropriate documentation

- Ensures adequate documentation in the medical record, test report according to department policy and procedures. 

- Communicates, orally and in writing, effectively to promote teamwork and teamproblem solvingefforts. 

- Adapts to and works effectively in a variety of situations and settings, for example, special precautions disabled and dialysis patients. 

- Providesexplanationof prep for testing procedures.

Pay Range:

$46.00 - $68.35

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
